🎒 Roopa Loves Going to School

Roopa was a first grader who was a little nervous on the first day of school. Her backpack was filled with hearts, colors bright and new, and her lunchbox had her favorite snack inside — a chocolate chip muffin. As she stood at the front doors, her dada squeezed her hand. "You're going to have such a wonderful day," Dada said.

As soon as Roopa stepped inside, she heard laughter coming from the classroom. Ms. Swanson, her teacher, greeted her with a warm smile. "Welcome, Roopa! Let's start an adventure together."

Each day when she walked to school, Roopa wondered about all the surprises waiting inside. She found out that caterpillars turned into butterflies and that numbers could make fun puzzles. She loved reading stories with funny voices and drawing colorful pictures in art.

But even better than learning, Roopa realized, was all the kindness in her classroom. When Arshiv forgot his eraser, Roopa shared hers with him. When Arya felt shy at story time, Roopa went to her and let her hold a favorite book. "Thank you, Roopa," Arya whispered, and the two shared a happy smile.

At recess, Roopa learned to make new friends and showed how strong she was. She practiced climbing monkey bars and helped her friends swing higher. Everyone cheered when Roopa finally crossed the long grey monkey bar section — she felt brave!

In school, Roopa also discovered new ways to understand others. She met kids who liked different games, ate different foods, and even spoke new languages. Ms. Swanson encouraged everyone to tell stories about their families, and Roopa loved hearing them.

Roopa made a lot of new friends. She played tag with Gargi, built tall block towers with Lukey, and swapped funny jokes with Leo and Easton. Every day, she found another friend to sit with at lunch or draw next to in art.

One afternoon, Roopa came home and told her dada, "School is awesome! I've learned how to help, how to be strong when something is hard, and I even made a new friend today. I can't wait to go back tomorrow!"

🌟 Moral of the StoryGoing to school isn't just about learning — it helps us be kind, strong, and make wonderful friends along the way. That's why school is so awesome!
