Every Sunday morning, Adi’s family goes to Bala Vihar at the big temple near their home. Bala Vihar is a place of learning and Adi liked Bala Vihar because it was so much more than just a class—it was a time for his family to be together and learn new things.
Adi’s brother Sid loved singing bhajans with all the other kids, while their parents joined in quietly from the back. When the prayers ended, Adi noticed something special: everyone was smiling and holding hands, happy to be together.
After prayers, Uncle Rahul would tell stories from the Ramayana. Sometimes Ashok, Adi’s dad, would ask questions about courage or kindness, and Nina, Adi’s mom, would share her own childhood memories. Adi realized that when his family listened to stories together, they learned something new and important—not just about ancient heroes, but about being brave and kind every day.
One Sunday afternoon, Adi’s family gathered in the kitchen. Their Bala Vihar teacher had given them a special project: make a healthy snack together and learn the recipe by heart. Adi and Sid giggled as they mashed bananas, while Mom read the steps and Ashok measured the oats. While stirring and laughing, they talked about favorite foods and funny cooking mistakes.
When they finished, Adi saw that learning together made their kitchen feel extra warm and happy. “We make a great team!” he said.
On the car ride home from Bala Vihar, Nina, Adi’s mom, smiled and said, “Praying together helps our hearts stay close, and learning together helps our minds grow strong. That’s what makes a family beta.”
Adi thought about that. Whether singing, cooking, or listening to tales, when his family came together, he felt safe, loved, and ready to try new things.
From then on, Adi loved Bala Vihar even more—because he saw that every prayer, every lesson, every game, and every song was a way for his family to stay together and grow together.
Dad received your message. Love you!
