Friendship & Understanding

🤝 Best Friends

Once upon a time, in a little village, there were two friends named Riya and Tara. They did everything together — playing hide and seek, building sandcastles, and sharing secrets under their old mango tree. But then, one sunny day, Riya and Tara had a big disagreement over who should keep the shiny new skipping rope.

Both girls felt hurt. Riya thought, "Tara doesn't care about my feelings," while Tara believed, "Riya doesn't understand me at all." As the days passed, they avoided each other, watching from afar and missing their laughter.

One evening, Riya's grandma noticed she was quiet. "What's wrong, little one?" she asked gently. Grandma nodded and said, "Sometimes, both people are right in their own way. We all see the world a little differently, like looking through different-colored glasses."

The next day, Tara's mom told her, "Friendship is not about winning arguments, but about listening and understanding each other."

That evening, under the mango tree, the girls finally talked. Riya said, "Tara, I miss when we had fun together. I want to understand how you feel." Tara replied, "I miss you too. I didn't realize my words hurt you."

Little by little, the girls listened quietly, without interrupting, and their hearts softened. They discovered that both had reasons for feeling upset, but even more reasons for being friends. When they stopped trying to win and started trying to understand, the problem didn't seem so big anymore.

They hugged and giggled under the mango tree, their old friendship shining even brighter.

🌟 Moral of the StoryWhen you listen with your heart and try to understand, not just to be right, you can fix almost anything — because kindness and understanding bring friends back together.
